An adoption order ends the parental responsibility of any person or local authority and gives the adopters sole parental responsibility for the child.
Such an order is arguably the most serious order the Family Court can make and there is a strict process that is to be followed where a number of legal issues can arise.
What is a Placement Order?
A placement order gives the local authority permission to arrange for a child/children to go and live with a prospective adoptive family. This is, which is sometimes called placing a child. Once settled the child/children are considered as being placed for adoption.
