I have less than two years’ employment. Can my employer dismiss me without a reason?
Employees can only usually claim unfair dismissal against an employer if they have a minimum of two years’ service. However, there are exceptions to this rule. If an employee is able to establish an automatically unfair or discriminatory reason for their dismissal, in most cases there is no qualifying service period.
I have a disability and have received a written warning as a result of having disability related sickness. Is this fair and reasonable?
The Equality Act 2010 protects disabled employees against discrimination, harassment and victimisation at work. Employers have a duty to protect their workforce from discrimination and take steps to prevent disability discrimination at work.
