New system to monitor completion dates on property sales
The Land Registry has introduced a new online service to provide estimated completion dates on property sales.
It will enable our solicitors to keep clients better informed on when their sale or purchase is likely to go through.
Estimated Completion Date is the latest enhancement to the View My Applications portal operated by the Land Registry.
For the first time conveyancing solicitors can see a single calendar date by which they can expect their applications to be completed. The enhancement will reduce the time previously spent on seeking updates and enable us to keep clients better informed with the latest information.
Estimated Completion Date takes data from the previous 30 days to provide a projection of when the majority (90%) of that application type will be completed. It is calculated from the day each application is received by the Registry.
It will then be updated for each application, every 30 days from the date of receipt, to accurately reflect the latest data.
